FilletEdge error

After revolving the shape, I applied FilletEdge with a radius of 0.05 to a 0.5-thick object. The shape itself doesn’t look rough in the front view, but when I zoom in, I see a rough mesh on the filleted edges, as shown in the right view. Should I reduce the radius further, or could there be another mistake I’ve made?

Hi Jiin -

To be able to show NURBS geometry in a shaded display mode, a “display mesh” needs to be created based on the actual geometry. It is this display mesh that you are seeing as a rough mesh; not the object itself. You can change the settings for the display mesh either on the object itself, or for all objects in the document. Making a finer mesh leads to slower redraws of the scene but whether that is noticeable depends on the settings and the objects in the scene.
