Hi, how would I fill the area highlighted in yellow. That highlighted piece is also a closed solid polysurface. It need not be used, as long as I fill that part of the slot in the other solid. I have tried boolean union with no success.
This fails because of the tangent surface and possibly because of coincidence of some of the faces.
In this case you can select the end of the cutout and move it from its current position further up to a new position like this:
Use ctrl+shift LMB to select the subsurface
OK! I had tried what you suggest, but saw it made a mess of my isolines, so I thought that meant I was doing something wrong… thanks!
