I’m not sure how to ask this question, but I created a subd part, I need a cutout in this part. I couldn’t figure out how to build the subd part with the cutout so I used trim to cut the cutout. Now how do I patch the hole?

Hi Kevin - easiest to use Wirecut
to begin with, from this view:
After the fact though. you can extrude that same curve and trim it with the edges if the first trimmed object.

thanks!. that works great.
that looks really good. It took me forever to draw my file i uploaded here. I had my most trouble with the round nose because I started out with a rectangle subd.
I will have to tackle the red eye later, it is a socket that has a flat bottom in order to glue in an eye after the part is made.
here is a part I drew with another program with the eye socket and it has grooves in the side I will have to try next.
I want to be able to do this in Rhino because most of what I draw are organic shapes.
so after using my other program for 12 years it is hard to draw in Rhino because I am thinking my other program.
