File currently in use

Hi Good day everyone
I’m getting a error on matrix that says "file its currently in use by user “" on computer "”

but by now i that machine isn’t in use, and that user doesn’t have matrix open.

Can you help me with this?

Look in the folder where the file is, and see if there is an RHL (Rhino Lock) in the same folder. If there is be ABSOLUTELY SURE the file is not in use by another user, and you can delete the RHL file.
If you delete the RHL and it is in use.
The person that saves last, will wipe out the other person’s work.

If it were my lock file and you wiped out my work, I would probably find you and flip your desk over!

We had this error on Macs — possibly since macOS 10.15.7 “Catalina” — in our company on the QNAP NAS Folders again.

When first connecting to our NAS Folders, we just clicked/entered the Bonjour name, and entered the login/password combo.

What helped, was actually these steps:

  1. open Keychain Access
  2. search for the login credentials and doubleclick it
  3. in the “location” field change the beginning from smb:// to afp://
  4. disconnect from the shared folder
  5. reconnect the shared folder

Now it works!
