Feature Thought/Request

I might be missing an easier way of doing this but here goes…

A little while ago I asked if we could distribute points the way we can distribute objects, this, works great and what I’d now like to do it to copy points. Right now it appears that highlighting points copies the underlying curve(s), not the points on the curve.

I’d like to copy the points on the underlying curve(s).i.e. quickly and easily add point(s). It’s ok when you’re adding points to a single curve, but doing this across a large number of curves that have aligned points is a pain.

Thoughts?

I have a hard time understanding what you have and what you want to end up with. Can you show an example?

sure. here are 8 curves with aligned points.

I would like to “copy” these points:

If I select the points I want to copy:

and then use the copy command, I’d like to copy these points further along the curves i.e.

But as you can see it adds 8 more curves as opposed to adding 8 points to the existing curves.

hope the above helped - I guess while I’m at it, group points would be very useful too…
