# Feature Request - Single Face Planar Decals

Hello!

Since it appears that planar decals currently will show on all faces in the same direction (see [Planar decal showing on multiple faces - #2 by JP-Mike](https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/planar-decal-showing-on-multiple-faces/136256/2)), I’m wondering how feasible it would be to implement the ability (an option on decal creation, perhaps?) to only have the decal show on the first face it encounters based on the direction and position of the widget.

So in the example in the referenced post, it would just show on the outer face. However the idea is that the decal widget could be moved inside of the object, so it would then only project onto the inner face.
