If one has two identical groups, SELDUP can select some objects in one group and some in another group. Deleting “duplicates” will then create two mismatched groups.

Overlapping groups with different names should not have elements of the group selected with seldup. There should be some more control over seldup in such a situation. Even a warning that some elements of a group were selected would be useful.
