Fatfingered commands : a whole layer makes my file bugg

Hello everyone,
Working on a rhino 8 file with someone else. Apparently, he accidentally fatfingered a command and that made the whole file bugged.
I can’t select any objet by mouse left clicking. I can when window select or Ctrl+A or via the select commands option. But not by just cursor clicking.

After a while looking up the forum and clicking everything in rhino, i was preparing the file for a screenshot and removed a lot of layers from the viewport just to have a simplified view of the issue.
That partly solved the issue : when i remove the layer “structure” (currently active), i could select again. As simpled as that : if the layer is visible, the bugg is active. If the layer is off, i dont have the issue anymore.

Systeminfo in text file joined.

For info : the file was created with parts imported from a rhino4 (2008) file. Shouldn’t create anything but just in case.

Thx everyone

Hi Raf -

Could you post a file that includes that layer and an object that can’t be selected when the layer is visible? There is not enough information here to be able to tell what’s going on.

Sorry, thought i did.

You can also see in the front view the colors are weird

Actually, in the later upload, it appears to be the Lignes layer that causes the issue. With that turned off you can select while Structure is active.

The problem is caused by this curve:

which has been moved massively far away in the Y direction. Delete it and all will be well again. Although you can’t select it by clicking, you can by a crossing drag.
