I can’t align my two items perfectly (when they are vertical). They have to be partly overlapped or completely separated.

No, you haven’t. There’s no way to know what problem you are really describing without posting a Rhino file here along with some illustrative images of the problem. You can use the upload button at the top pf the message window or drag and drop files directly into the message window to upload.
