Facadetool plugin testers needed (Rhino 7 Win, Rhino 8 Win, Rhino 8 Mac)

Hi, I just published facadetool on Food4Rhino, a plugin that converts facade photos into vector .dxf drawings using AI. I only have Rhino 7 on Windows so I can’t test the other builds myself. If anyone is willing to do a quick install test on Rhino 8 Windows or Rhino 8 Mac I would really appreciate it. Just need confirmation the panel loads and the facadetool command works. Interesting…I work in the stone field and can see where this might be useful on future projects. We are running Rhino7 so I can’t be of much help in testing. Someone might be will to test this in you offered some free credits to try it out…?

Hello, yes I’m planning to gift free credits for plug-in users for the first 1-2 months. It should be added automatically now but needs to be tried, I don’t know if it works. For you if you mail me, yagiz@facadetool.com I can help you with the stones hopefully.

I understand using a photo will not be as accurate as producing an elevation drawing from a laser scan. I wonder if an orthoimage produced from a laser scan would provide a more accurate result in place of a photo. Then, it might also work from an orthoimage of a floorplan.

Yes, AI part is a bit tricky on the perspective images but mostly does the job. The ones you mention are the best way to use. In the app, the “sketch” mode has no perspective correction so it should be working well there.
