Extrude Diagrid surfaces

Hi guys;

I have selected a number of diagrid panels using lunch box for a tower I’m designing. Now I want to extrude them outwards and I want to make it a union solid so I can trim it later. But I can’t make it work and the extruded surfaces are not connected.

Can anyone help me with my definition?

The surface isn’t internalized. No one can see your geometry.
Just by looking at screenshot you need to extract the diamond edges as continuous curves from bottom to top, and do a sweep kind of thing.
