Extrude curve to mesh, how?

is there an extrude curve to mesh command?

_ExtrudeCrv doesn’t have a mesh option.

well also in other apps like c4d or similar an object that extrudes from a curve, stays a parametric object till it gets converted into a mesh afaics. a curve polyline or whatever has nothing to do with mesh so far. in rhino you have to convert it unfortunately the same way.

this quicky macro below should work. if you need this often and only mesh i can also modify it that it deletes the surface instantly.
