Hey,
I’m using the Rhino render engine and I stopped a big rendering after 1.5 hours. I would like to save it, but anything I do takes forever, even though the rendering is over. I can’t even click the save button to save the rendered image.
Is there any way to keep the rending and not have to force quit rhino?
okay, at that resolution in might be not too excessive in terms of memory usage. I just tried to render a fairly big file on a mbp with only 16GB and that seems to work even though memory usage goes all the way to about 18GB, I was able to save out the 8000 x 5000 pixel image. I guess to track down you issue, I still first need your _SystemInfo, and maybe a file that illustrates this issue. Please run _SystemInfo in Rhino and post back the results.

And here’s a screenshot of what I’m trying to render. In the meantime, I managed to save the file. Just the waiting time for any button that I click in the rendering window is between 5 and 30 minutes after I stop rendering
can you upload the file in question so that I can see if there is something in the file that is causing trouble? You can upload it here. Please link back to this thread if you decide to upload the file so I get notified, thanks
I cannot reproduce that here, all stays normal and responsive after the rendering has ended, also, memory stays under 16GB, I will have to ask a colleague with an M1 to have a look at it
