Hi,
I’m trying to find a component for my use case but can’t seem to. I’m trying to make a script that will deform/project my 2d pathway onto my curved topology brep. I think that trying to extract the split/intersecting surfaces and then extrude it slightly normal for a pathway would be the best way to get the result I’m looking for. I’ve found that with Solid Intersection I can get pretty close to what I want, but then I end up with all this extraneous extrusion underneath, and the path I simply moved vertically, not extruded normal to the surface like a solid Offset Surface would do.
Another concern is that there are internal curves so I need to use the boundary surface to ensure that there isn’t problems with internal volumes being double extruded.
I’ve included a sketch of the idea of the surface region I’m trying to extract, if that helps. And hopefully my grasshopper file has the geometry properly imbedded for you.
Any help is great!
