Extract the contour line of the mesh model

Hello! Everyone. As the picture shows, I want to know how to extract the contour line of the ear model? Thanks!

Hi Joann -

In Rhino 7, you can use the DraftAngleAnalysis tool to extract that curve.
I noticed that you posted a Rhino 5 file - you could try to play a bit with the angles in the ExtractMeshFacesByDraftAngle command. In the following picture, I used the Top view, start angle 85º to end angle 95º, and the Border only option to get curves that look like this:

Hi Joann - the contour part of DraftAngleAnlaysis is only available in V7 I’m afraid. ExtractMeshFacesByDraftAngle should be a good one though
