Extract surface from a mesh?

Hi there,

I have created a mesh in the shape of a human body and I was wondering, if there is a way to extract the surface of the mesh as a surface. Something like mesh to surface. But I can’t figure out how to do that step. Any suggestions?

Can you try like this?

I see here two options:

  1. Patch command from segmented small part of the mesh
  2. Draw 4 curves over mesh (you can also Pull them to mesh), edgesrf command and next patch over segmented part of mesh with using quad surface as starting surface (option inside patch command window)

Edit: Sorry I think my answer doesn’t fit perfectly to your question but it`s also valid somehow :wink:

You can use the Quad Remesh command and then ToNurbs. Deoending on the subdivision, you’ll end up with a lot of polysurfaces…
