how do i extract edges from a Mesh?

I want to measure this cylinder inside diameter and out.
using the Boxedit i can get the OD.
extracting the edges may not be want i want, I need to 3d print something to go around the outside and also the inside, so i need a close measurement

Hi David - use Distance, with Vertex osnap and Project on the osnaps. Pickl the vertices carefully.
