ExtendSurface factor

Hi there,

I would like to do some experiment with ExtendSrf command, however something is not right. The command asks for the factor of extension but not the distance. When I select the boundary curve and I give 1.000 the distance will be 0.7. I have also tied the projected distance from the top. The top of the geometry is planar. How does this work?

Hello - yeah… the extension is in parameter space not 3d space - as you see the extension is of different lengths all the way around. In short, a simple extension of a surface parameters cannot be an exact 3d distance in most cases.
