ExtendSrf - Does not complete

ExtendSrf does not complete when a surface has a zero length side and the side opposite the zero length side is selected to be extended. If the surface is cropped so that it does not have a zero length side then ExtendSrf completes. ExtendSrf works correctly in V7. I’m currently using Version 8 SR15 (8.15.24352.13001, 2024-12-17).

I rountinely create developable surfaces by lofting between a curve and a point, and then extending the surface beyond the input curve.

Example input surfaces:

Also, if the edge to be extended is first trimmed, then ExtendSrf shrinks it instead of extending.

That sounds like a different issue. Perhaps you could start a new thread about it.

Possibly. It only happens with surfaces like yours that have a degenerate edge, so I thought it might be related.

@davidcockey I will look into this tomorrow and log it. For an extrude to point surface I guess you could also simply scale it from the point as temp workaround.
