Expression editor

What am I doing wrong? Seems like it should be easy but I’m pulling my hair out.

You are a victim of using ‘Display | Draw Full Names’. Rename the input from ‘Variable x’ to just ‘x’?

Really! that’s it? I’ve spent hours trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.
Works now.

Yeah, it’s a very dumb, obvious bug that has been around FOREVER. :man_facepalming:

You know you can right-click on the pDecon (Deconstruct Point) ‘X’ output and use the ‘Expression’ feature to enter the same thing? You don’t need the Expression component unless you need multiple variables or just want to make it more obvious/explicit.

I was almost ready to chuck it. Wasted a whole afternoon. I’m just learning so one step at a time.
Thanks for your help Joseph!

You can avoid the trouble by disabling ‘Display | Draw Full Names’, of course.

By the way, when you use the inline expression feature on outputs and inputs, you ALWAYS use ‘x’ (lower case), regardless of the output/input name.
