I’ve just switched to windows from mac - I have a saved view that I want to save as a PDF. With Mac, I just go to export and save as PDF, but I dont have this option with windows.
Use the print command?

ok, but why is nothing appearing in ‘print’?
It looks as if no view is set
on mac, it’s whatever is on the screen that get’s exported. that was a saved view…
How is crating a layout meant to help btw?

You might have osnap disabled

Without your file and screenshots of all print options, that’s impossible to say.
I’d check what it says under View and Output Scale first

i’ve worked it thanks, but the nodes/mouse arent snapping like they do it mac.
You’ll need to provide more information if you need help with snapping.
