Export 'Pen' Display Mode in Vector (.ai) Format

Hello,

I’m currently using Rhino 7. I saw a thread regarding this issue back from 2022. Does anybody know if the current Rhino 8 allows you to export the ‘pen’ display mode in .ai format? Currently it seems it just reverts to wireframe on vector export.

Hi Jason -

No, you can only export technical display modes as PDF or SVG to get vector output. Are there cases where the (ancient) .ai file format is required?

Hey Wim.

SVG is perfect. I just need a vector file to modify in Illustrator. Just upgraded to Rhino 8 and it’s awesome.
