Exit from Block Editor in a Macro

Hey All,

I’m curious if anyone has figured out a way to exit from the blockeditor while using a macro? I’m working on a drafting tool and I’d like to be able to run the operation with as little user input as possible. I see this functionality has been requested a few times over the years and wonder if it’s been implemented or if anyone has found a way to achieve this function on their own.

Thanks

Hi Caleb - I do not see how to do that using a macro - there is no command that I can see that ends the block editing ‘state’.

RH-81897 BlockEdit - end via command line

-Pascal

Thanks Pascal. I found an old request here for the same feature. RH-34493 BlockEditOk and BlockEditClose desired for macros and scripts

Bumping this for visibility. I see there’s been some work on this in the issue tracker under RH-34493 . I would find this command very helpful to my work flow

Hi Caleb -

RH-34493 was implemented in Rhino 8.8 and then closed.
-wim

Hi Wim,

Disregard my message, I was trying to get the commands from the tracker to work without realizing they’re nested inside of -BlockEdit. Everything works great!
