"Error writing model..."

Hi

I just downloaded Iris (Iris 0.6.0 for macOS, 2017-Mar-29) to try it on the Mac for the first time. I got a "error writing model/…"
I haven’t had any problems earlier on WinRhino.

Hello @Philip,
The export is ok with the same model on Windows? Can you export anything on the Mac? Please send me the model(s) if possible.

Best,
Luis

Hi Luis

I haven’t tried Iris on my Windows machine for a long time. I’ll try this file later today and let you know. I’ll also experiment some more on the Mac.
Thanks for the quick answer

Philip

Sorry for the delay… Everything is fine on my Windows machine - in Chrome. Navigating the model in Internet Explorer is very slow (as in ‘almost impossible’).

Opening the Win-generated html-file on the Mac also works (but navigating is slower in Safari than in Chrome on Windows).

Generating the html-file on the Mac now also works in the latest WIP version - the UI seems a bit strange though. The ‘Done’-button is grayed out, but pressing ‘enter’ works.

Philip

I don’t expect Internet Explorer to be able to keep up with other browsers. There are several ‘polyfills’ that need to be used in order for this to work on Internet Explorer. Generally, Chrome and Firefox are leading the WebGL charge.

I see that as well, but not sure where the issue originates from. Filed it as a Rhino for Mac bug until I can figure out what causes the button to switch states.

Thanks for the report!
