Error opening toolbar

Hello,

I’ve got some custom macros I put on the popup toolbar that I’ve lost. Whenever I try to load the toolbar that I’ve saved I get this message in the command line –

Error reading file: “C:\Users\John\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\5.0\UI\yost.rui”
’.’, hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 19211, position 33.

Has anyone had any experience with this and is it possible to salvage?

Thanks

Hi John - navigate, in a Windows Explorer window, to the folder where the messy rui file is - the path in your message above, and look for a file called

yost.rui_bak

Rename that file with just the .rui extension.( Please also send me yost.rui via tech@mcneel.com) Then from Rhino’s Options > Toolbars page, open that renamed file and close yost.rui. Does the new one behave correctly? If so SaveAs from the Toolbars page to the yost.rui name and all should be well.
