Error Loading Constantly

My Hp computer has 64x processor and 356 MGB left on my computer; so, it is supposed to run well. It has NVIDIA.

But when I edit my rhino file on a school computer (the school has their own license) or on my computer, it always freezes with an “error loading” sign, because of simple commands like SAVE file.
Sometimes, I lose work, because it stops working.

I have been importing and place some .skp pieces from 3D Warehouse from sketchup. Could that be the problem? My friend has done the same and her computer is running fine.

WHAT could possibly be the PROBLEM??

Hello - if you can open Rhino with a new blank file, please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and post the results here.

Hello - thanks - nothing jumps out at me in the System Info, unless possibly, you have set a viewport in these files to be in Raytraced mode as saved… is that a possibility? Is it only these Sketchup-import files that cause trouble? How large are the files?

-Pascal

I didn’t set it at that mode. How would I know if it is in raytraced mode?
These files are 62KB and up to 126 MB.

It is now doing okay, but it usually acts up 3-5 times a day. Should I contact Rhino support?
How much is too much data in a file?

Hello - please send a small file that causes trouble for you to tech@mcneel.com, along with a link back to this topic. I’ll see if I can find anything …

-Pascal

Thank you so much. I bought this on a student discount and an expensive computer on a budget. So, thanks for the help. I’ll email them the issue.
