Erase old components in a new file

Hi there!
So I’m updating a very old definition (like 5-6 years old) that used lots of plugins, so there are many outdated components. I’m using Rhino 7 and these outdated components appear as white squares. It’s very useful because now I can see where they were connected and that’s helpful to replace them. The problem now is that some components can’t be updated, I have to replace them, and then I don’t know how to get rid of the white squares that I have left. They are quite annoying because I can’t move them outside the canvas or anything, they just stay there in the middle of the definition, mudding everything.

I’m adding a picture in case it’s helpful to know what I’m talking about.

Thanks in advance!

I made a user object for this purpose: Delete Placeholders.ghuser (1.9 KB)

Thank you both very much, this has been extremely useful as the empty placeholder were starting to get very annoying.
