Equality of vectors is based on length, anyone knows why?

This system might not be perfect but it’s certainly a clever addition. Considering the vast amount of types GH deals with, I can’t think of anything better than that.

Will plugin developers be able to contribute to the database or is the access reserved to McNeel? On the one hand, it seems like plugin devs may need it, but on the other it may be challenging to maintain the DB if all doors are left open!

Any plug-in may add as many new types and conversions from and to types as it likes. It can even add conversions between types coming from elsewhere. So you’re right, there’s no way to guarantee consistent merits or messaging as time goes on. Which is the flaw in the system.

Thanks for taking the time to discuss. You must be a busy man at the moment, so I’ll let you carry on.

I wish part of the software can be open-sourced in the future, I’m convinced this community abounds with talent that can be leveraged to make GH even better than it currently is. In the meantime, I’ll dip my toes in GH2.

David is the same man that your first reply characterized this way:

Nothing personal.

Just French?

Crossed with a git… :scream:

To be fair I would rather err on the side of overthinking.
