Enter coordinate relative to snap point?

How can I enter a coordinate relative to the active snap point?

I would like to place a point that is (-1, 1) relative to the active snap point (upper left vertex of the rotated rectangle).

I know the CPlane could be moved to the upper left vertex and then the point could be entered relative to the CPlane origin. I would like to find a workflow that does not move the CPlane. Is there a “prefix” for coordinate entry that means “relative to snap”?

Hi @YankeeClipper
You can use “r” as a prefix, so once you’ve set you SmartTrack point type in r-1,1

Hi Jakob,

I knew about relative coordinates but I did not know about using them with SmartTrack smart points! Very helpful.

Thanks!

Steve

Don’t forget the “From” object snap, combined with relative coordinates…
