This 2-day international symposium is the first in a series of critical debates initiated by a new Pan-European Design-Network jointly formed by a consortium of four partners: University of Liverpool/ UK, Istituto Europeo di Design (IED)/Italy, Hochschule Anhalt, DIA/Germany and MVAVD/The Netherlands.

The upcoming London symposium, led by the University of Liverpool (Prof. Richard Koeck, Dr.Tuba Kocaturk), and co-hosted by the Design Council UK, is open to designers, industry representatives and educators interested in taking part in a Pan-European network on the topic of transdisciplinarity in design.

It will feature provocations, presentations, best-practice examples, and interactive moderated sessions with participation from European automotive, industrial, fashion, architectural design, as well as design technology developers, design educators, and representatives from business organizations and networks across the design and innovation industries.
