I was wondering whether any development has been done to include elliptical sections, top-hat, z-sections.
What new features are in the 3.1.5 version

Hi, we are currently working on a series of asymmetrical cross sections. This is currently not released yet but you can see the feature request here and I have added your request there: REQUEST: Add asymmetric sections like C, U, Omega and L · Issue #104 · karamba3d/K3D_NightlyBuilds

Yes, with the next release of Karamba3D there will be a beta verwion in parallel which features arbitrary thin walled open cross sections - so the z-sections can be generated.
For the elliptic cross-sections the torsional stiffness would have to be set manually for the time being until closed thin-walled cross-sections are ready.
