Editing repetitive model elements

Hello I’m new to Rhino and i wanted to know if there is a way to create a ‘master’ element that is repeated in a model that can be edited and then the repeated copies update to the changes?

So for example in a 2D programme i use i can create a symbol in a drawing (say a window) copy that symbol however many times I need. Then if I change the symbol it automatically updates every copy of that symbol in the drawing file…

Blocks work great. Just type in Block and assign a name, double click to edit, manage your blocks in the block manager. Blocks can also be a rhino file that is linked. Look at the help for particulars.
