Editing curve after loft - problem

I am following this tutorial using the mac version http://tips.rhino3d.com/2014/01/say-ahh-product-design-and-packaging.html

At 3:13 he resizes the end circle and it tapers the tube.

I have followed him exactly but for mine the whole tube gets smaller uniformly. I think it has to do with the history. Anyone know how to correct this?

There is a button at the top of the modeling window to turn it on and off.

I created the linear array of 9 circles with History off. Then lofted with History on. This gave the result I was looking for.
