Editing Aligned Dimension Nodes without Changing Orientation

How do I edit the location of the dimension points without changing the dimension orientation?

There’s no way to change that behavior. An “Aligned” dimension stays parallel to the two dimension end points.
It will need to be replaced with a Rotated dimension so you can specify the rotated angle the dimension line follows independent of the dimension line ends.
