Not sure if I have named the problem correctly, in any case, I want this curve to flow like my red line rather than what you’re seeing in Rhino, pictured below. It just will not flip direction no matter what I try… It seems to happen as soon as I add a crease along that edge.

As always: Post a file. It makes helping a lot easier. From the screen shot it looks as if you have a creased edge in the middle. If yes, you probably need to add more edges on the traverse to control the shape. Also maybe SubDCrease to make the crease 100% at the edge and 0% at the interior end.
No success yet trying those steps. When I add another edge it still curves the wrong way for one of the new edge segments. I added the rhino file to my original post.

It’s indeed the creased edges. If you turn on the control polygon, you can see how one of the control points is way up high.
