Edit BlendEdge set to 0 obliterates Object

i just tried to remove blends i did with BlendEdge by setting the radius to 0. The object after that was basically non existent. tested in v8 and v9.

would be nice when one could just remove the blends again with this tool or was it never meant to do that?

I can’t reproduce this issue on my side. Could you share this 3dm file? Thank you .

hi @jessesn sorry, i changed the title now, i actually meant BlendEdge, here it happens on any arbitrary new cube or geometry.

No worry, it looks fine in Rhino 8.26 and for you reference. Thank you.

so it was a bug and is fixed in the upcoming version?

just to be sure that i have it posted, when i blendedge the left object and then use edit to set all to 0 i get the right object, in some instances it vanishes entirely.

and i get this message

Could you share a 3dm related this issue with me? Thank you.

Blendedge.3dm (4.3 MB)

there you go, but its just a simple new cube nothing more.

On my end, the tests are running quite normally, and I haven’t been able to reproduce the issue you mentioned.

If it’s convenient for you, I’ll send you the lastest Rhino8.26 via DM later. Please feel free to test it again when you are free. Thank you once mroe.

I’m terribly sorry - I just realized you encountered this issue in Rhino for Mac. I wals able to reproduce the same issue on Rhino Mac just now. I will log this issue with our development engineers shortly.

I have logged this issue with our development engineers.

RH-90029 BlendEdge: Edit BlendEdge set to 0 oblitterates Object

thanks @jessesn i also changed the tag to Rhino for Mac now and will also use that in future. the auto tag function (windows, mac) can lead a bit astray here specifically when you have 2 systems in the pipeline like i do now.

RH-90029 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 26
