EdgeSrf - create trimmed planes with triangles

I thought I posted this previously, but I can’t find it anywhere, so maybe I just imagined it…

It would be great if EdgeSrf with 3 linear edges chosen had an option to create a trimmed planar surface instead of a triangular NURBS surface with a singularity - a little like what MeshToNurb does with triangle mesh facets.

Hi Mitch - I see the possible utility here but I think I’d prefer to ask PlanarSrf to work with chains of curves. EdgeSrf is so tied to making untrimmed surfaces based on the input curve structure that it seems messy to add such an option here. Does my PlanarSrf suggestion make any sense with what you need?
