Easiest way to find the insertion layer for a linked block I can't find

Ryan, does the text dot in the file, that tells you about the missing block reside on the insertion layer? Testing…

Sorry for the confusion. The file isn’t missing. I just can’t remember what layer I inserted the block into. Layer has been switched off and now I can’t find the block.

quickest: Show all layers, find block, remember layer, UNDO

Open BlockManager, locate block, click on it, click “Select” on the right, (That will select all of that type of blocks).
Click on ZoomSelect or type ZS if you want to zoom in on them. Then look at the bottom of the screen, next to milimeters, (or in object properties) and that will tell you where it is.
