Earth split view

I’m trying to make a earth image that shows the inside of the planet. I made a sphere, and placed a texture on for the surface of the planet, When I boolean the wedge out, it messes with the texture and stretches it out. Is there a way to lock the texture in place so it does not move when I start chopping up the sphere?

Hi Rob - ExtractSrf the ‘wedge’ faces, join them and apply a texture to that object. Is that what you meant?
