DWG import multiple copies of blocks in file

When I import a DWG I get a lot of copies of the same blocks in the file. Does this something have to do with how the file is exported from my client or does it something have to do with the way I open the file? Some files don’t have this issue and others do.

Hi Tom -

I opened that DWG file in both Rhino and Autodesk DWG TrueView 2023 - both warn of missing referenced files:

Rhino:

DWG TrueView:

There’s some clipping of blocks that Rhino doesn’t support, but, apart from that, those appear to be the same.

Your screenshots show something else but that might be because referenced files are found on your disk somewhere.
DWG TrueView is free, so you could use that to verify the contents of DWG files that are sent to you.

OK, thanks for the explanation.
