Duplicate edge anomaly

I have just noticed this today after upgrading to 17 March build. When i use duplicate edge. the curve stays on the layer of the object whose edge is selected, not on the selected layer. See object panel / layer for duplicated edge curve and top layer panel for the current layer.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks Mitch,

it always seemed to be on currentLayer before, that is why I never noticed this morning after last update.
