I need to draw curves (lines) in model space on the clipping plane of a series of different sections in a model. To clarify: I’d like lines drawn in a clipped view (viewport or detail) to project to a cplane which is coplanar with the clipping plane. Is there a setting that will enable this in a view with an active clipping plane? Otherwise it will require multiple steps to create and activate a cplane coplanar with the clipping plane.
You may give it a try with Auto Align CPlaneachieving it, and for your reference.

I don’t have V8 but in V7 you can draw on the clipping plane but you can’t snap to the section made by the clipping plane. I create a clipping plane and attach an mplane to it using the mplane 3point option.
If you want to snap to clipped objects in V7 you have to use section tools and activate the clipping plane view.
