That’s splendid ! congrats
Seghier,
Would you mind sharing your final Python code? I am trying to understand Doyle circle packing and seeing the code in Python would help because I am not fluent in javascript.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
Hi
The code already posted
That is the grasshopper code. I would like to see the Python code.
I can’t verify this file now but i am sure it have a python code
If there is no python inside please take a screenshot
Check this
The contents of the file is strictly binary with no Python source code. Maybe if this was loaded into grasshopper, the Python code would be available but I am trying to port the circle packing code into Java so I need the actual Python source file.
Thanks for your help.
Hello
to get the Python script, open Rhinoceros then Grasshopper and then the file “doyle_spiral.gh”. You will have an edit button on the Python component, you will be able to have the Python source file.
And don’t forget that in this discussion we all began by using a Javascript code translated in Python and C#. So why not using it to go to Java !
The problem is I don’t run Rinoceros or Gasshopper so I cannot see the Python code. No matter, I’ll just concentrate on porting the javascript myself to Java so I can experiment with circle packing.
Thanks everyone for the comments and help
You can search with Google, there are many examples available
Dear Laurent, Seghier, Daniel Piker and all.,
We are currently lasercutting doyle sprirals based on the GH definition developed in this forum.
I want to thank you all for this work and the possibility to download and play with it.
Since I could not find the version where circles are replaced with hexagons, an image that was shared by Seghier here my question: is this version available? We will post results from our lasercutting, interference patterns with LED background.
