Hello
I’m doing this project from the video in the link below using Grasshopper as a way of learning. I did everything exactly like the video but it’s not working and I can’t identify my mistake. Could someone help me identify the mistake I’m making?
Hello
put a dam after Kangaroo so you can play freely
It seems it works better with a 1e-3 damping
Reset
begin with a circle radius of 0 then increase it slowly
when OK stop Kangaroo tool
Then click on Dam
Then suppress one of the wire so you have 11 geometry and 11 angles
Probably solved by now. Yesterday evening at first test, I saw that changing the numberslider to higher numbers had positions without the error.
So probably the divider put points on “error” positions.
Saw this around midnight, just before turning in. Wasn’t sure if it would print in vase mode, but the spool on my printer had only few rows of filament left, so I figured, why not just give it a go. Found this in the morning:
it looks like other users have already helped and hopefully solved the issue you were experiencing
I just wanted to drop a line to show you this youtube video from Gediminas Kirdeikis (who btw creates awesome content)
despite the video being 5 years old, I believe the techniques used by him can easy be followed also today
and I’m advicing you to watch this because -instead of a nice background music- in this video the author is explaining you in detail what he is doing and what he is trying to accomplish at every single step, which I believe will much benefit the comprehension of the whole process, and relax the learning curve
Hello
What type of function is used to prevent the curves from crossing over each other? Is this process complex for someone learning to use Grasshopper?
Thanks
