The easiest way to work with Python scripts in Rhino 5 on Mac is by using Atom script editor and code completion using :

> **[rhino-python](https://atom.io/packages/rhino-python)**
>
> Editor support for writting python scripts that are executed by Rhinoceros (http://www.rhino3d.com).
