Does 3.3 RC1 work with 'Content Cache'?

I tested today, but looks like it doesn’t yet.
Thanks.

Yes, we added support for Context Cache in VisualARQ 3.3.

Can you please share the definition?

When the Toggle is turned on, the baked geometry looks fine. The slab style is set to ‘Test’, and the material assigned in the Slab Style panel works correctly. However, when I move the base curve, the slab’s location does not update. Additionally, if I toggle it off and on again, the materials are lost.
Thanks.

I’m sure OP will post some files, but since, for me, this is one of the most important “feature bridges” between Rhino 8 and VisualARQ 3 I will post something too. I gave VA3 & Content Cache a quick look and it partially, sometimes worked for me. Wanted to prepare some example, but just had a crash with the simplest definition.

I think it’s far from being reliable, but it’s a release candidate after all.

  1. First try Rhino crash
  2. Second try, every object baked twice
  3. Third try, crash

I also often experience a crash even with a small change.

Also, going through the Model Object doesn’t work every time. Here I had troubles to assign object name. (it ended with a crash anyways)

I see same issue with Sections as well.

Hi everyone,

We’ve managed to fix those crashes and make VisualARQ objects work correctly with Context Cache component.

Here is the latest build of VisuaARQ 3.3 RC:
https://visualarq.s3.amazonaws.com/download/visualarq-3.3.0.19535-rhino8-setup-snapshot.msi

Please test and let us know if you find any issue.

Thanks,
