Display problem, showing a surface that shouldnt be there

Hello,

I needed to split a fluorescent light bulb into a series of physical layers that are stacked on top of eachother. So I drew all of these surfaces at their respective heights, positioned the bulb and split the surface to get what I was looking for.

However now for some reason, it is showing a few grey squares (see image) that I guess used to be associated with a surface, but remained after I deleted it. It only shows when I am looking at the model from specific postions and zoom (see next image where I zoomed in a bit and it disapeared). Also it doesnt show in any other view except for perspective.

Even when I select all and delete everything the squares are still there. Any ideas what that is? and how to fix it?

Thanks

Hello,

Try switching to Wireframe mode, then type ClearAllMeshes, then switch back to Shaded mode.

If you are able to repeat this problem, please send us the model and instructions for how to get the “grey squares” so that we can attempt to fix it.

Thanks

Maybe a bad micro surface which doesn’t select with SelAll and thus isn’t deleted… After SelAll/Delete, if you run SelBadObjects, does anything select? If so try Ctrl+X to remove them.
