Display feedback problem

I’m not getting any feedback during copy or move commands.
Eg I go to copy something, but as I move the object I see no “ghost” of where the original is.
Makes it very hard to work…

This happens in all display modes; sometimes for no apparent reason it will work ok if I change display modes, but then it packs in again…

I’ve seen this too and haven’t been able to pin it down yet.
