Display Error: Surfaces get sprinkled from a certain Zoom level

I get this strange behavior of sprinkled dots on surfaces from a certain zoom level (all shading modes)
It’s not appearing in all files, just the one I’m working on at the moment.
It drives me a bit crazy, I tried various exporting and importing procedures to see if anything changes but it didn’t really help. Any ideas?

Hi David - it looks ok here - it is pretty far from the world origin - does it make any difference if you move the object to the world origin (and RefreshShade for good measure)?
