Display dimension less by 1/16" less than actual

Is there a way to automatically deduct 1/16” or 1/8” when dimensioning? Currently this is being done manually and overriding the dim. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @Humduth_Reetun

You can set “display precision” in options to round everything to an 1/8.
Or you can check the “use alternate units” setting in the dimension settings found in properties when you click a dimension.

Thank you for the response. Hoping an image will convey what I am looking for. I do not want to change the actual dimension (black) - I just need need the dimension to display 1/16” less than actual (blue). The dimension resolution is already set to 1/16 in annotation.

Hi @Humduth_Reetun

Ok I see what you want. I don’t have a solution to this outside of doing some of the dimensions manually. For the dimensions that are larger than the linear resolution setting like 22 13/16 this can easily be displayed as 22 3/4 by setting that in linear resolution dim style. See attached image.

But 16 1/8 to 16 1/16 can’t easily be done because your going smaller in linear resolution instead of larger I don’t see a setting for that.

I don’t work with dims that much hopefully someone will have a workaround for you.
